In October of 2012 Nobody’s Listening pulled the plug suddenly and without warning. This was due to me, James, not being able to handle my own life (much less a podcast) due to Major Depressive Disorder (which you can read about here). Quitting the show and abandoning the amazing community that the show generated was never something I wanted to do but I didn’t just quit podcasting, I quit everything except my marriage and my kids (Again, you can read about my junk here, and hear about it at Made My Day podcast). I couldn’t even get up the energy (or the guts) to tell anyone what was happening and why (though I eventually did). I’m so very sorry.
Now I have some good news.
Nobody’s Listening, after a year and a half John and I are “getting the band back together” and will be producing new podcasts within the week!
We’re changing a few things to make doing the show a little less stressful, but we’ll still be sharing your funny life stories and making fun of middle schoolers so you’ll hardly notice.
If you read about my crap then you know that I left my position as a children’s pastor (after 13 years) and am at home in recovery and doing the stay-at-home-dad thing. It would be really helpful if some of our faithful long-time fans would consider supporting the show financially.
We don’t need much. Fifteen bucks a show pays the bills. Jump over to our Patreon Page and check out how fun and rewarding giving us a few bucks can be. Thanks for your consideration!
Just to be clear. The show is and always will be free… we’re just giving you a chance to show your appreciation and give us a little motivation.
Oh, and you can start sending your stories in to firstname.lastname@example.org otherwise we’re digging down deep into the massive archive of old and unread stuff… and it’s dusty down there.
